MEET THE PASTOR
Pastor Darius T. Miller
Pastor Darius T. Miller answered the call to ministry at the age of seventeen as a senior at O’Fallon Township High School. During his college and law school years, he worked with various campus ministries and served the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church as a youth leader, teacher and preacher, under the leadership of Pastor Danny Hubbard.
Pastor Darius has modeled servant leadership having since served in a variety of roles and leadership positions within the church. He served as a leader for the Morning Star Single’s Ministry, Marriage Ministry and Children’s Church Ministry. More recently he helped launch the Youth GLOW Ministry, served as a teacher to the adult Men’s Life Ministry class and was instrumental in support of Morning Star’s recent capital refinance efforts. He has served as a guest preacher/teacher throughout the area and in August 2016 he celebrated twenty years of preaching the Gospel!

On Sunday, September 25, 2016, our then Undershepherd, Danny Hubbard, announced his intention to retire as Senior Pastor of Morning Star, and shared God’s leading in recommending Pastor Darius as the church’s next Senior Pastor. On Sunday, October 16, 2016, Pastor Darius was duly elected by the congregation as its next Senior Pastor. On Sunday, September 24, 2017, Pastor Darius assumed the responsibilities of Senior Pastor of Morning Star.
This year, Pastor Darius and Lady Takilya have been happily married for 17 years. Born to this wonderful union are three sons, Camden, Case and Cade.
